Oyo Rising Citizens Forum Sets Date for Governance Dialogue With Senator Alli

The Oyo Rising Citizens Forum (ORCF), a socio-political organisation with a strong network across various sectors and all local government areas in Oyo State, has announced plans to host Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the state, for an interactive governance dialogue.

The programme, tagged “A Dialogue on the Future of Oyo State,” will hold on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. prompt at Mercyfield Event Place, formerly known as NULGE Hall, along Onireke Road, Dugbe, Ibadan.

The organisers disclosed this in a joint press release signed by Alaba Adebisi and Owolabi Salam.

According to the organisers, the initiative will provide a direct and transparent platform for the APC candidate to engage with citizens and present his governance plans, policy direction and vision for Oyo State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

“The initiative is meticulously designed to provide a direct, transparent, and one-on-one platform for the APC flagbearer to engage with the public and explicitly detail his governance blueprint, policy frameworks, and definitive vision for the economic and social trajectory of Oyo State if he is elected as the next executive governor.”

The Forum said it organised the programme to give residents an opportunity to understand what Senator Alli intends to offer the people of Oyo State if elected governor in 2027.

It added that the dialogue would go beyond conventional political campaigning by focusing on practical solutions to some of the state’s major challenges, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, civil service welfare and agricultural development.

The organisers said the programme would bring the candidate together with professional bodies, youth groups, trade unions, media representatives, community leaders and other stakeholders.

“By bringing the candidate face-to-face with professional bodies, youth networks, trade unions, media representatives, community leaders and others, the Oyo Rising Citizens Forum intends to facilitate a robust exchange that sets a new benchmark for democratic engagement and accountability in the state.”

The Forum also invited members of the press and the general public to attend the event and participate in the discussion on the future of Oyo State.
