Ajuri Ngelale, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position, citing urgent medical concerns affecting his family.
In a statement released on Saturday in Abuja, Ngelale announced that he had submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, indicating his decision to take an indefinite leave of absence to address these pressing health issues.
Ngelale acknowledged the impact of his departure on his official duties, which include roles as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
He expressed a desire to return to his duties once his family’s situation stabilizes and requested privacy during this challenging time.
